Friendship day trip @ SFO

Me and my friends planned to visit SFO on friendship day. We have decided to commute by train, in that way we will be together and can have more fun. I have never traveled in caltrain so I was excited about the short journey. We all had lunch around 1.30, and our train is @ 2.15. Most of my friends got ready in a jiffy and they left by 2.05. I usually take kind of more time to get dressed up (heheee :). Every one left to the station except me & my hubby. My hubby was yelling at me. We have to board the train in 8 mins. Caltrain station is near by my house, I was over-confident that we will board for sure. we reached at 2.12 for 2.14 train. I got down and my hubby went to park the car. When I was about to cross the rail tracks , gates were closing, I opened the emergency gate and crossed. Train came to our station exactly @ 2.14, we all have boarded the train except my hubby and one friend. They told that they will drive to SFO and join us. I felt guilty, bcoz of me my hubby couldn’t board the train. I told myself from now on, I should plan ahead. Hope I’ll stick to it :).

While traveling,  We played dumbzi. It was hilarious when my friends tried to act few movies. I had super-duper fun.We reached SFO and our plan is to visit the fisherman’s wharf. While we are walking to fisherman’s wharf, we happened to see a naked guy. He was   walking coolly in streets as if he is on a mission and the pathetic thing is , group of people were following him with their cameras. It was a nightmare. In addition to this , two more incidents made me sick and irritating, I saw a man begging and he had a  sign board “need $ for weed”. I read it again to make sure , it was ‘weed’ only. This was weird I was shocked, when I saw a man giving him a dollar in spite of that sign. second one was public restrooms. It was untidy and  gross. But, there were interesting things too. I saw few guys painted in silver color and they stood like statue. It was cute. A guy was doing spray painting and all his paintings were awesome.

Finally we reached  pier 39. I am a big fan of mini donuts. I bought a bucket of mini donuts ( it had 36 donuts). I relished those cute mini donuts :). Then, I had sour dough bread bowl soup, it was yummy and I had it for first time. Later I found that SFO is the origin of sour dough bread. We stopped by for shopping and purchased few things. It was 7 .15  and our train is at 8.15, so we have decided to leave. My hubby wanted to commute by tram to the caltrain station. So we all boarded a tram, while traveling I saw few amazing buildings with great  architecture.  When we reached the station it was 8.14 and we all ran to board the train, but the doors were closed, again we missed the train but this time all of us missed :). Next train is at 9.30. We have to pass 1 hr and 14 mins, we went to near by “panera bread ” restaurant. I ordered cappuccino but I didn’t like it’s taste so I swapped it with my friend and had his hot chocolate. It was yummy.  We boarded 9.30 train on time and reached home.

On the whole, the journey was good. I had lots of fun and delectable food. SFO trip was great and it’s a memory to cherish  forever. of course I have to omit few incidents :).
